We commend both teams for getting to the FA Cup Final. Although it was the Premier League Champions Chelsea came to Wembley to make a statement, looking sharply dressed in Dior suits, but their lacklustre performance saw Arsenal crowned FA Cup winners.

Arsenal came flying out the box to take a early controversial 1-nil lead in the 5th minute through Chilean Striker Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal dominating for the majority of the first half with plenty of opportunities to put Chelsea out of sight, however they almost paid the price for guilt edge missed chances which nearly saw the Blues equalize through Diego Costa only to be blocked by a heroic Arsenal Goalkeeper David Ospina save.

The second half began evenly matched and both teams share possession football until Victor Moses saw red for diving in the Arsenal penalty area. The game came to life and Arsenal began to pull the strings similar to the first half with a repetition of missed chances. Only this time Diego Costa had plans on spoiling the party when he equalized with the faintest of volleys inside the area on 76th minute.

Shortly after kick off Arsenal restored their lead when the had the ball in the back of the net on 79th minute from a late Aaron Ramsey run into the box to direct a diving header on target from a Olivier Giroud cross after coming on as a late substitute for Danny Welbeck.

The final whistle was blown in the 94th minute for Arsenal to be crowned FA Cup winners for a third year in a row. This was Arsene Wenger 7th FA Cup and Arsenal FC 13th FA trophy.
