What is a snapback?

The history of the snapback was given rise from the american sport baseball, but don’t get it twisted this is not baseball cap. Although the two are similar in nature, they do have differences. The snapback gets its name from an adjustable strap or as we like to call it “snap” at its back, which makes it a one-size-fits-all style. Baseball caps, on the other hand, are fitted and cannot be adjusted. Snapbacks also have a flat peak and six panels that make up the cap and result in a high dome toward the front. This shape provides the snapback with its unique appearance and a larger space around the cap to allow for premium customisation with print, embroidery and badges.

How to Choose a Snapback

Selecting a snapback is definitely down to personal preference. Our Foxberry Boys snapback collection comes in a variety of designs and colourways, you can always find the right one for you by picking one that suits your personality and style. If you find you are struggling to choose, think about your desired look you are going for and go from there. If you’re interested in sports, you can choose our Trademark Fox Logo snap or if you prefer a minimal aesthetic, try a more simplistic design. However if you are still struggling to find your style or new to the cap game, why not stick to a simple and classic design like our Foxberry Boys Signature design in black. This way we guarantee your cap will compliment whatever outfit you pair it with.

The Snapback Hip-Hop Look

The history of Hip-Hop music gave rise to the snapback style. The rappers cool attitude and outfits go well together with a edgy snapback making them a popular must have accessory. Choose a snapback that makes a sleek and bold statement, such as our FXB design with white embroidery. Make sure you wear it with the brim facing forward and complete your outfit with an oversized, graphic tee, ripped black jeans or shorts, and sneakers.

Wearing your snapback forward is the most common and classic position. Its safe to say wearing your snapback forward presents a clean appearance and stylish fashion statement especially with streetwear outfits creating that urban style. However a more confident man can also wear one backwards. Be careful though because if your outfit is not on point your look can appear to be outdate if your snap is worn in the wrong way or with the wrong outfit. To pull off wearing a snapback backwards, pair it with modern and contemporary styles and designs. Also, remember to keep your outfit casual as the look projects a relaxed and carefree attitude. Aim for an urban style with streetwear and be sure to wear the cap high on your head on a downwards slant backwards.

Finally, remember there are a few rules to wearing snapbacks.

  • Never wear a snapback with formal clothing.

  • Do not bend the peak, they wear made like this for a reason. If you would like a curved peak cap we suggest you go for our very popular Sports Luxe Baseball cap.

  • Do not twist your snapback sideways, straight forward front or to the back are the only ways.

  • Remember your age, if your wearing a snapback at an older age, you may appear to be hanging on to your youth. But who are we to stop

Millwall Talisman Steve Morison 85th minute goal puts them back to the Championship

Foxberry Boys want to congratulate Byron Webster and his teammates this weekend on Millwall FC 1-0 League One Playoff Final triumph over Bradford City FC. The game was evenly matched with both teams missing chances in the first half. Although Bradford had the better opportunities and most of the possession, it was Millwall's veteran striker Steve Morison who stabbed home the 85th minute winner to catapult Millwall back into the EFL Championship and send the fans into dream land and spark a pitch invasion.

V Festival 21st Birthday Celeb Style Watch

V Festival was celebrating their 21st birthday this year and boy did they put on an all-out pop festival, opting to go for its first pair of pop titans for headliners with Justin Bieber and Rihanna. Both headline artists and supporting acts did not fail to disappoint the British public as they partied away under typical unpredictable weather conditions. So out came the Hunter wellies, Rain macs and the ever popular low profile basebal l caps and snapbacks to ensure they enjoyed the festival in comfort. Foxberry Boys had access to The Virgin Media, Mahiki Rum’s VIP area and we managed to catch up with A-List celebrities and soak up the atmosphere, sipping on pineapple cocktails and dancing to DJs playing chart hits.

Whilst journalists found the Mark Wright and Danny Dyer encounter pretty much the topic of debate this weekend, other A-List celebrities such as Craig David and Tinie Tempah decided to adopt a more subtle macho camouflage print style and blend into the background. Notably Marvin Humes, CapitalFM and TV Presenter chose to wear our very own Foxberry Boys Camouflage Trucker.
